Glisten & Sparkle

Evening All,  it's been a while since my last post  but I've made time this weekend to create a card for the latest Indigoblu Challenge.

The Christmas theme also fits in with several other challenges I've entered which are:-

The background was created by using Indigoblu Acrylic Paints - Coastal Walk, Kingfisher Blue, Sleeping Beauty and Goldfinger. I also added Luscious Blue and Bronze.
The stars were added through the Indigoblu Star stencil in Goldfinger. Unicorn Sparkles were sprinkled over the Super Thick Slap it On which was stencilled through the stars.
The reindeer was from the Winterland Wood stamp set and this was stamped onto black card with Flitterglu and I added Lancashire Rose Mega Flake

The Christmas Wishes sentiment was stencilled with Raven Black Acrylic Paint and highlighted with white Posca pen
The blue and gold background was torn at the bottom and mat and layered onto a white square card to give the effect of a snowy background. This was also mounted onto a craft card 150mm square card blank. The reindeer was cut out and adhered off-centre to create the main focal point.

Autumn Wildlife - Guest Designer spot for Indigoblu challenge reminder

Thank you to the DT for selecting my bright and beautiful card in the Top 3. It means so much to receive such wonderful comments. I've been crafting for over 10 years now and my style has changed over the years. It was Jenny Marples who inspired me to create my blog although its a bit hit and miss as to when I add posts and I'm still learning. I particularly love stamping and all things IB!

Indigoblu Challenge Blog - September challenge reminder autumn

This is my take on the Autumn Wildlife theme.

I started with the background and painted Banana Custard, Burning Bonfire, Lime Marmalade, Goldfinger, White Gesso and Luscious Gold.

and stamped the large butterfly in Spiced Chai.

The leaves were also stamped with the paints and cut out. I stamped the smaller butterflies with Spiced Chai, painted and cut out but also left one on the white background.

The sentiment was stamped onto the background and a white piece of card. The word Perfect was cut out and added behind the wooden frame, same with the butterfly on white card. The background was matt and layered onto brown card and a white card blank.

Close ups below highlight the detail.

Thanks for popping by and feel free to leave a comment.

Indigoblu Stylised Flowers

Evening All,

Created this card using the Indigoblu Stylised Flowers.

The background is randomly painted with all colours with a wash of white gesso over to knock it back slightly. The Stylised flowers are stamped in Marshmallow, Vibrant Violet and Black.

The Rugged Edge stamp in Black framed the flowers. This was matt and layered onto a white card which was painted with the marshmallow and luscious pink.

The Luscious pink was mixed with Slap it on and coated a small white piece of card and this was die cut with the HB sentiment. This was also cut out of black card to create a shadow to the pink HB.

Materials

IB Acrylic paints - Marshmallow, Wimberry Pie & Aladdin

Things with Wings

Have had an evening to myself and took the opportunity to update my blog with a couple of my recent creations. The first being my post for the indigoblu challenge and now this one for the Frilly and Funkie challenge.

Butterflies & Stylised flowers all from Indigoblu.

Brayered background with Indigoblu Wimberry Pie, Marshmallow and Vodka Martini paints. Also used an old credit card to scrape paint over parts of the background. I then stamped the stylised flowers in Stazon Vibrant Violet again to add to the background.

I then stamped the stylised flowers and butterflies with Versamark and embossed in white and cut out one of the butterflies. The verse was stamped in Vibrant violet onto white card and cut into strips.

The main card was cut down to 90mmx155mm and mounted onto white card (135mmx160mm). This was then mounted onto a card 145mmx168mm which was coloured with Wimberry Pie and Marshmallow and stamped with the stylised flower in violet. This was mounted onto a white card blank 150mmx175mm. Finally the verse strips and butterfly were added to the card.

All things Bright & Beautiful

All things Bright & Beautiful

To create this card I've used the Indigoblu Rose Dinkie and Industrial Lamps stamps, starburst stencil, indigoblu paints (Banana Custard, Marshmallow & Burning Bonfire), Stazon Spiced Chai ink pad and Unicorn sparkles.

Firstly I stamped the 3 roses in Spiced Chai onto a square card 100mmx100mm and painted these with the yellow, pink and orange paints. The background is watered down Banana Custard.

I then stamped the industrial lamps and painted yellow. The starburst stencil was used to create the lighting effect with both the yellow paint and then the Unicorn sparkles.

The main card was mounted on 110mmx110mm card edged with the Burning Bonfire  paint and then onto a square card blank.

I'm entering this into the Indigoblu blog challenge
