Things with Wings

Have had an evening to myself and took the opportunity to update my blog with a couple of my recent creations. The first being my post for the indigoblu challenge and now this one for the Frilly and Funkie challenge.

Butterflies & Stylised flowers all from Indigoblu.

Brayered background with Indigoblu Wimberry Pie, Marshmallow and Vodka Martini paints. Also used an old credit card to scrape paint over parts of the background. I then stamped the stylised flowers in Stazon Vibrant Violet again to add to the background.

I then stamped the stylised flowers and butterflies with Versamark and embossed in white and cut out one of the butterflies. The verse was stamped in Vibrant violet onto white card and cut into strips.

The main card was cut down to 90mmx155mm and mounted onto white card (135mmx160mm). This was then mounted onto a card 145mmx168mm which was coloured with Wimberry Pie and Marshmallow and stamped with the stylised flower in violet. This was mounted onto a white card blank 150mmx175mm. Finally the verse strips and butterfly were added to the card.

All things Bright & Beautiful

All things Bright & Beautiful

To create this card I've used the Indigoblu Rose Dinkie and Industrial Lamps stamps, starburst stencil, indigoblu paints (Banana Custard, Marshmallow & Burning Bonfire), Stazon Spiced Chai ink pad and Unicorn sparkles.

Firstly I stamped the 3 roses in Spiced Chai onto a square card 100mmx100mm and painted these with the yellow, pink and orange paints. The background is watered down Banana Custard.

I then stamped the industrial lamps and painted yellow. The starburst stencil was used to create the lighting effect with both the yellow paint and then the Unicorn sparkles.

The main card was mounted on 110mmx110mm card edged with the Burning Bonfire  paint and then onto a square card blank.

Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 34

OMG my first published card appears in the Creative Stamping magazine Issue 34.

A huge thank you to Jenny and Kay for giving me the opportunity to create a card for the Indigoblu feature in this magazine.

I would thoroughly recommend all Indigoblu products, the red rubber stamps are a joy to use and the detail is second to none.

I have used the Peace on Earth and Vintage Frames stamp sets

Thank you for taking a look and enjoy the rest of your week.
