Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 34

OMG my first published card appears in the Creative Stamping magazine Issue 34.

A huge thank you to Jenny and Kay for giving me the opportunity to create a card for the Indigoblu feature in this magazine.

I would thoroughly recommend all Indigoblu products, the red rubber stamps are a joy to use and the detail is second to none.

I have used the Peace on Earth and Vintage Frames stamp sets

Thank you for taking a look and enjoy the rest of your week.

Red & Green / Hip to be Square

Another of today's creations...

Tried to create a retro, shabby chic card in red and green for the following challenges.

The stamps are JOFY 09, also used Tim Holtz stencils, papers from my stash and a little lace. The Distress Inks used are 'Barn Door' and 'Twisted Citron'.

Hope you stopped by to take a look and liked what I created.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter....

Enjoyed my day creating various cards and a canvas for various challenges. First up is my 'Spring - yellow, pink and green' inspired card.

The main image is Indigoblu 'Colour Me - Dahlia' which has been stamped with versamark and brushed over with pastel powders (can't remember the make) with extra colour added with my watercolour pencils. Although this doesn't show very well in the photo. The background was stamped with part of the head/hair from the Indigoblu stamp collection for 'simply cards & paper craft' magazine. I used 'pickled raspberry', 'mustard seed' and 'twisted citron' Distress Inks.

The main image was mounted on a larger square card that was inked with 'pickled raspberry' Distress Ink, as was the background.

The card was finished off with text around the edges and flower ribbon.

I'm entering this into the following challenges

Thanks for taking a look at my blog post. Hope you like my card.

Red & Glitter

It's been a while since I posted anything but have created various cards recently which I'll add separately. Firstly took time out with my friend Sue this week to create something for the Indigoblu and the Mixed Media challenge.

http://mixedmediamc.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/february-glitter-challenge-mid-month.html

I've used various Indigoblu stamps, stencils, gesso and paste with orange and red distress inks. I've created layers and texture with the paste and ribbons before adding coloured cut out butterflies. To add the sparkle I've added stickles red glitter to the butterflies and background.

photos below show the various steps and close ups of my finished card.

thanks so much for visiting ~ hope you like my card
